So this has been my 3rd day so far without my wisdom teeth and it really hasn't been that great. I would just like to point out that at youth group tonight we learned about wisdom - how fitting. Anyways, I feel like a baby (not because I cry and poop my pants), but because my diet has been severely limited to pudding, jello, scrambled eggs, soup, and milkshakes - basically anything that is not completely solid. Although babies don't have to take Advil and penicillin every six hours. And one thing about the anastaesia, it doesn't always make you feel loopy. For me, it made me just feel terrible and nauseous and like I wanted to fall asleep, making it basically the worst day of my life. Also, my face was able to swell up so much that it looked like it came right out of Fatbooth, but now I resemble more of a chipmunk, so that's an improvement, right?
This was basically me, minus the cuteness.
On the bright side, I will be able to begin work in a few days outside in the 100 degree Florida heat for minimum wage, no less! And come September 2nd, I will probably never see temperatures like that ever again!
This is what I'll be giving up
This is what I will win instead!
As everyone in my life is either at school or preparing for college, I am stuck here doing nothing. I cannot do any dorm shopping here at all so I will essentially be moving up to Boston with nothing more than a suitcase full of clothes (and I barely have any of those) and my keyboard. And even though I'll be buying all the college essentials up there, it won't feel like I'm going to college until I'm actually there. It would help if Berklee could tell me who my roommate is, but they probably want to save that for last in case he's a psychopath killer so I can't change room assignments.
Lastly, the song of the day that I have chosen is by the Future of Forestry. This song blew my mind the first time I heard it. For the live recording of this song in the link I posted, they only use three members total, yet are still able to get a full, rich sound. The accordion in the beginning combined with the vocals provided by Eric Owyoung create a beautifully textured sound that grows throughout the song, adding strings and bass and percussion and layering them in different ways throughout the song. Supposedly the song was on "16 and Pregnant", but I heard it at youth group and fell in love with it immediately.
So that is pretty much it. I will try to keep my blog posts more consistent and try to get more readers and such. I look forward to posting in the future!
ALSO!
I would like to say "I love you so much Courtney and I hope you are having fun in college!!! I miss you so much!!!"
16 DAYS UNTIL BOSTON!
