I'm never sure what to put for a title...

So it's already been one week, and guess what!

I don't really know...

Anyways, first things first, how are my resolutions coming. Did I compltely flake out on the second day and not do any of them? Not in the slightest. I have been working out every single day or at least doing some kind of physical activity, including camping (which I will talk about later). But you guys don't care about me working out, I presume. You are here for the music, and I have in fact written a song like I said.

Now I won't say its the best thing I've ever written, or even that it's very good, but I am content with it for the time being. I didn't have any vocals so i left those out, and I tried to do a guitar solo but since I'm not really a guitar player, it sounds mediocre. THINGS TO WORK ON. Anyways, here it is.

Back to camping. So Brad, Cody, Frankie and I ended up taking the boat to a deserted island and spent the night there. Immediately upon arriving, we found some guy's clothes on the beach and there was no one else around, which was really sketchy. We also "stole" a grill from another campsite and dragged it to ours so we could have warm Taco Bell and fried oreos. I made sure we had da Pepsis and the Dew. Given our situation, we spent alot of time throwing various items into the fire, and I'm sure Cody has it on film somewhere. We also went fishing and hunting rats. The next day we stopped by Terry's store and jammed for a bit, with me on Brad's mini Casio MT-100 keyboard.

Which has keys so small that it seemed like it was made for 5 year olds

Music-wise, I've been getting more and more into Deep Purple, and more specifically the song Highway Star. Jon Lord is an absolutely amazing keyboardist, and his solos in songs such as Highway Star, Hush, and Speed King just blow me away. (I may post a cover of me doing the solo of Highway Star someday). Every chance I get I roll down the windows of my car and blast the music as loud as I can for all the world to hear. And regardless of whatever anyone else thinks, I think Smoke on the Water is highly overrated and isn't one of their best works.
I also bought Pink Floyd's Meddle, and I enjoy all but one song. Echoes is by far the best, and at 23 minutes it is an amazing musical experience. Andrew Lloyd Webber did well to take Floyd's riff for Phantom (even if there is no solid evidence that he did...)

I will leave you with this song, and I will keep you updated at least once a week. Sit back, hold tight, I'm a highway star!!! (Not in my Honda Civic, I'm not...)
