This song title makes me smile :)
Hey! This title somewhat has to do with my life for the moment. No, I don't have zombie neighbors. HOWEVER, I have been introduced to the most wonderful TV show called The Walking Dead. I basically stayed up until 3:30 am watching the first season, but for a show about the zombie apocalypse it has a pretty involving plot. I'm getting ahead of myself. Berklee isn't about zombies. (But it would be totally cool if it was!)
Soooo I haven't posted here in a while... But now I am!
So here's some stuff I've learned at Berklee so far
-I have to practice ALOT
-I can't play jazz
-Ear Training 3 makes me realize I cannot sing very well
-If you are a guy, your principle is most likely guitar, and if you are a girl, your principal is most likely voice.
-Ariel Shrum is a crazy magician and musician
-I am getting better at Super Smash Bros. (C'mon, I can't practice all the time!)
-Don't wear jeans while playing frisbee while it is also raining
-People automatically think you're awesome if you play the tuba
-Don't go to the Back Bay Fens at night if you like your butt
-Protect your food from rats
-Music is a woman, and you can't learn music, but you already know how to play your instrument perfectly. (Thanks, Victor Wooten)
-Nutella is one of the most amazing foods/food supplements ever!
-Umbrellas are a really good investment -Everyone is better than you
-Narnia exists
-Classical music is the most amazing thing ever. EVER.
-Tuba's are heavy...
Also, so apparently Sufjan Stevens came out with a new album that is electronic and it doesn't sound like him at all and I don't like it one bit. However, the song that I mentioned in the title is more like Sufjan. More eccentric, and it has a whole ton of layers on it. It starts off sounding like a mournful ballad, but quickly turns more upbeat but strangely more eerie, with vocals that greatly accent each syllable. One of my favorites, but the album as a whole is great! I want to get the Seven Swans album next, so hopefully I can get some money for that.
If anyone wants to send me stuff now that I am officially settled in at college, feel free to send me stuff. If you don't know my address, message me and I'll give it to you!
P.S. I'm playing October in Symphonic Winds and it's the month of October!!! That's so awesome!!!! (not really, but it's still a great song regardless.)
I love you William <3 Cody
